Asset Sharing | Explore
Overview
The Dadosfera catalog provides advanced features for secure asset sharing. Users can control access to data through two primary methods: direct link sharing and asset embedding.
📘
Check whether your organization has the Asset Embedding module enabled. If not, contact the sales team.
1. Asset Link Sharing
Asset sharing lets users generate links for specific catalog resources while keeping full control over visibility and access permissions.
How to Use
-
Open the sharing menu
- Navigate to the target asset in the catalog
- Click the link icon to open the sharing panel
- A modal displays the available configuration options
-
Configure visibility
-
Private link (default): Requires platform authentication
- Users must be signed in to view the asset
- Keeps sensitive data protected
- Access remains subject to the user's permissions
-
Public link: Allows unauthenticated access
- Anyone with the URL can open the asset
- Useful for external stakeholders
- Use carefully with sensitive data
-
Defaults and Controls
- Default visibility: Every catalog asset starts as private
- Security: Private links ensure only authenticated users can access the asset
- Flexibility: Asset owners can change visibility at any time
2. Asset Embedding
Asset embedding lets Dadosfera catalog content be integrated directly into external portals, systems, and applications. This expands distribution while preserving governance and access control.
